MD Manager



This role is responsible for managing product & channel strategy in terms of merchandising, product analysis & purchase planning roles which is the heart of the brand and cascade down the brand & MD strategy to all x-functional teams to leverage the performance and elevate the brand value and achieve sales and inventory target.

・Make seasonal merchandising strategy and OTB plan aligned with demand planning & finance.
・Create assortment offerings by channel (Retail/ FC, EC, WS) to achieve the sales target
・Compile the deck of current market trend and future demand for UK design & product team to identify our market opportunities and providing critical market input influencing in product inline.
・Create & re-visit store tier every season analysing KPI of each store supported by Retail & FC team
・Set the retail price seasonally following the price matrix and align w/ x-function team
・Lead and support creating trade show visual merchandising co-working w/ VM & MKT support
・Conduct Product Training to retail & FC store staff seasonally for better understandings of products and brand strategy
・Coordinate and support collaboration plan in-between UK and collaboration partners
・Support to conduct CSR audit for collaboration partners
・Attend Seasonal Product Launch Meeting and present *** priorities and assortment by channel
・Attend Seasonal pre-line meeting in Asia and develop country strategy & assortment to ensure fulfilling our market demands and achieve financial target
・Oversee the creation of seasonal catalogue for trade show
・Support creating assortment for event or pop-up stores co-working with Sales team


・Minimum 8 -10 years MD experience with at least 3 years at managerial level with more than 2 subordinates
・Experience in retail & multi-channel experience in leather goods brand with advanced knowledges of leather goods
・Proven track record of expertise in footwear retail sales and product marketing experience is plus
・Office Word, Excel & PPT skills are MUST Excellent Excel skills including macro & system knowledge is plus
・Good presentation skills with PPT and convincing & experienced personal is plus
・Business level of written and oral communication skills in English, native level Japanese is MUST
・Good numerical analytical skills and constructive thinking
・Leadership & stakeholder management is preferred
・Passionate and committed to the brand, pleasant personal and matured attitude with good communication skills
