- ■Summary of role■
The Communications Senior Specialist will by working to contribute to the company's growth and success by developing and implementing effective external and internal communications programs aligned with the global communications strategy. These programs will strategically enhance the corporation’s external image and reputation amongst the stakeholders and nurture further engagement to the company and support to advance corporate culture amongst the employees.
Also, he/she will work closely with the media to promote corporate messaging; and will be actively engaged to support issues management.
■Essential Duties and Responsibilities■
・Implement the global communication imperatives in Japan in alignment with business goals.(Work with Head of Communications to plan and drive organization culture transformation programmes)
・Implement employee and reputation programmes (Community activities, Leveraging CSR activities through communication)
・With Head of Communications Support message development with internal executive communications (town hall leadership messaging, internal newsletters, and intranet content planning)
・With Head of Corporate Communication, provide support to senior management and business-unit management regarding external communication related activities (therapy or product awareness raising, good workplace PR), issues management and crisis planning (leadership media training) to foster broad-based awareness of the company’s leadership position.
・Provide back up for the Head of Communications.
・Manage external corporate website and intranet update, including driving content development.
・Preparation, and distribution of news releases relating to the company in Japan. Develop relationships with key media outlets, especially general media.
・Manage PR agency and material creation vendor in Japan.
・Ensure that all corporate and media materials reflect the company’s positioning and key messages (Branding check, message building aligned with branding).
・Participate in developing methods and measuring the effectiveness of PR / communications programs.
- ・Bachelor's degree
・Minimum of 5 years of public relations and/or corporate communications experience (internal and external) Healthcare experience (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device) and PR agency experience strongly preferred.
