- About the role
The core focus of this role will be to lead and drive an employee communications strategy for key city Tokyo, driving key narratives to engage and inspire its employees.
The employee communications manager for the key city will be responsible for the following:
Weave an integrated narrative and storytelling, engaging and exciting our employees around our key innovations, inspirational initiatives and the company culture, and do so in a thoughtful, understandable, authentic way. This role will work to connect every employee in the city with leaders, programs, strategies, services, and experiences so they are engaged, informed and inspired.
This role will be responsible for planning, sequencing, developing, distributing and measuring employee communication initiatives, including leadership messages and HR programs and initiatives. This role will also be responsible for multi-dimensional employee storytelling and co-creating employee engagement experiences, across the company, including intranet and other channels. The position will also provide support for employee communications for the key city leadership team with a strong focus on the GM.
This role will require to travel 5-10% of the time, both domestic and international.
Additional responsibilities include:
・ Align with our global employee communication strategy and deliver programming, messaging and experiences that sync with the geography and key city communication strategies.
・ Create and drive connections among leadership, culture programs and seasonal brand initiatives.
・ Create content for multiple platforms.
・ Write in simple, relatable, and authentic way ? focused on how the message will be received and interpreted, putting the employee at the center.
・ Draft and edit content for campaigns, presentations, websites, videos, signage and more on a wide range of topics for multiple channels,
・ Produce employee experiences including all hands meetings, athlete engagement sessions, employee reward and recognition moments and product trials.
・ Oversee efficient and timely delivery of all communications and deliverables
- ・ Bachelor's degree (minimum) in journalism, PR, English communications, business, or related field required.
・ Fluency in Japanese and English required. Minimum TOEIC 800+.
・ 5+ years professional experience in corporate communications or public relations roles.
・ Proven ability to communicate plans across a complex matrix on a corporate, regional and functional basis, including presenting before audiences of various sizes and cultures and working effectively in cross functional teams.
・ Experience initiating and driving the ideation process contributing meaningful, innovative strategies to the business at concept stage.
・ Successful experience in working effectively supporting senior executives and a proven ability to help provide guidance and direction to peers.
・ Experience leading communications strategy for major events, media/PR and across multiple vendor relationships preferred.
・ Deep understanding of both evolving consumer communications environment and digital landscape.
・ Experience creating compelling content for multiple channels and managing creative agencies.
・ Knowledge of footwear or apparel industry is preferred.
