■Position Responsibilities / Main Tasks:
・To maintain existing customers in Japan and ensure that sales grow in line with customer needs.
・To develop new opportunities with existing customers in Japan through novel use of existing products, or by working with the German team to adapt existing products.
・To carry out business development activities with new customers in Japan, by introducing them to BASF’s range of, or adapting our products to their requirements.
・To keep abreast of specialty monomer activities in Asia-Pacific, and to generate monthly reports reflecting sales data as business development activities.
・To assist the Manager in implementing the spot business concept for Standard Monomers in Japan, including initiation and steering of dealer activities.
・At a later stage, to develop new opportunities with existing and new customers in Asia-Pacific outside of Japan in cooperation with the German and local sales teams.

■Knowledge:

・University level understanding of Chemistry
<Preferable>
・Sales and business development experience
■Education:
<Must>
・University degree, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, business experience.
■English ability:
・Business level communication skills in verbal, written English and Japanese is a must.
■Relevant Experience:

・At least 5 years of job experience in related industry
